BIDDING for an impressive array of collectibles and antiques raised over £4,000 on Friday, August 3 at the Falcon Hotel in Bude for the Bude Sea Pool.

Many of the items, which were donated to raise funds for the town's historic tidal swimming pool, went under the hammer with low reserve prices and no buyer's premium.

Some 60 rare and interesting items of artwork and memorabilia were donated to the auction by Bude Sea Pool supporters, alongside pledges and promises from local businesses, shops and individuals.
