EVER wondered if your family has any skeletons in the cupboard, or who lived in your house 100 years ago?

Cornwall Council's Archive and Local Studies Service is organising a series of free events at libraries across Cornwall with specialist staff offering advice on how to get started with family or property history.

The events will run from 10am till 4pm on May 5 at Camelford Library, May 6 at Bude Library, and May 12 at Callington Library.

Staff will have a variety of resources on hand to help with the search including 19th century tithe maps on cd-rom, a selection of parish registers on microfiche and advice on using online sources.

Free access to Ancestry.com will also be available via a library People's Network computer.
