THE ‘Four Winds’ junction on the A30 continues to be closed having stopped letting traffic through since 9.30am on Monday, August 1, so work on the road can be completed.
Local residents have had alternative arrangements made for them. The works involve constructing new drainage and carriageway improvements including the widening of the junction with the A30.
To facilitate the Four Winds closure access for Blisland/St Breward through traffic can be gained via the Trewardale junction that is now open. For those not conversant with the location of Trewardale junction it is (Junction 1) on the site plan viewed from the front page of Kier’s website at www.kier-a30cornwall.co.uk
As there is already a ‘no right-turn’ prohibition for westbound A30 traffic at Four Winds the diversion route has remained the same — via the Callywith off-ramp at Bodmin and return east on the A30. Trewardale junction is the next exit following the newly opened Helland junction.
Access to the A30 can be made from the start of the diversion route at White Cross crossroads, west to the Trewardale junction where a left turn only is available onto the A30.
The junction is expected to be closed until the works are completed.
