KIVELLS auctioneers have announced that due to public demand, they are now holding fortnightly sales of household furniture and effects at the Holsworthy auction centre situated on the edge of the town.

Since moving to the new auction site the sales of furniture and effects have become really busy with between 1,000 and 1,200 lots becoming the norm. Recently more than 1,400 lots went under the hammer with more than 150 buyers present in the auction yard and many more online from as far afield as Italy, Norway, Sweden and USA.

Along with these sales Kivells is set to continue its monthly machinery and pig and poultry sales on the first Saturday of every month.

Speaking after the auction director of Kivells, David Kivell, said: “We are really pleased to see the expansion of this department and look forward to the many good sales to come.”
