FORRABURY Church, in Boscastle, welcomed summer over the weekend of June 27, 28 and 29 with a flower festival.

Curate Rev Paul Beynon, who was ordained priest in Truro Cathedral recently, presided at his first service of Holy Communion on Sunday, thus, it was decided to hold a flower festival with the theme of summer.

Talented local flower arrangers, some from the other churches in the Boscastle group and other willing volunteers, decorated the church with their interpretation of summer, and many hoped it would encourage the weather to return to warm sunshine.
