On Boxing Day Bude Rugby Club held the draw for a pair of rugby boots belonging to Jason Robinson, in aid of Talan’s Trust.

Julian and Julia Morris kindly donated the pair of boots from the former British Lions and England rugby player for the draw.

Tickets were sold in the week prior at Ride it Cycles bike shop in Bude and during Bude’s Boxing day rugby match.

A great total of £330 was raised and trust founder Sarah Penny extended thanks to the Morris’, Bude Rugby Club and all who bought tickets.

The lucky and delighted winner was Bill Kneebone.

Then on Saturday, December 29, to round off a very successful year, a contingent representing Talan’s Trust bag packed at Morrisons in the town.

A very impressive amount of £1,014.56 was raised in just one day and thanks were expressed to Morrisons for allowing them to do the pack.

Thanks were also given to the public, who were so supportive and generous, and all the volunteers who gave up their Saturday afternoon and helped raise such a huge amount of money.
