IN A bid to raise national awareness of the growing need of food banks in the UK, the manager of the Truro Foodbank branch pushed a trolley across Cornwall and met with the 'national trolley' on Monday, April 8 in Launceston.

Bob Girvan did the 109 mile, eight day trolley push as part of a national event. On April 8, more trolleys started the push across the UK.

Bob started at Land's End on Monday, April 1 at 9am and travelled to Marazion. On Tuesday he reached Penryn, and then Probus, via Truro, on wednesday.

Last Thursday (April 4) Bob pushed his trolley through St Austell to Lostwithiel and then on to Liskeard on Friday.

On Saturday, he walked through Saltash into Callington and then his final trek finished in Launceston on Monday (April 8) where he met with the national trolley.
