New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Cornwall’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Modern Chinese Takeaway, at Modern Chinese Take Away, 36 Causewayhead, Penzance, Cornwall was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on September 25.

And Red Star Chinese Takeaway, at 1 Cape Cornwall Street, St Just, Penzance, Cornwall was given a score of two on September 25.

It means that of Cornwall's 410 takeaways with ratings, 283 (69%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
