THOUSANDS of food-lovers flocked to Bude over the weekend for the town's first food festival. The two-day Bude for Food festival attracted around 7,000 visitors to the Castle Grounds who were able to try and buy foods, including paella and sangria, Mexican tacos, monkfish massala, crab wontons to Thai noodles, hog roast, fresh oysters and herb and seaweed fritattas. More than 60 exhibitors from across Cornwall filled the artisan food market, including Bude Brewery, North Coast Wines, Made with Love, Cornish Charcuterie company to the Cornish duck company. One of festival founders and organisers, Ali Beech said: "It really did go amazingly. We are absolutely thrilled with how it was attended and with the feedback from businesses, chefs and everyone involved."
