A TRACTOR enthusiast from St Teath has published her first book about voyages across the country in her orange 'Field Marshall 3A'. Many people cycle the popular route from Land's End to John O'Groats, but Mary Phillips is one of few to drive a tractor there and back. Mary's new book details her various charity drives over the years and how she began her fundraising crusade. Before moving to Cornwall, Mary farmed on the Somerset Levels and owned a 35 Massey Ferguson diesel tractor. She said:?"One day I went to Taunton Road on New Year's Day and met Peter Treleaven. I was parked by the side of his lovely Series 3 Field Marshall tractor and we got talking. "The next year I moved to Cornwall, bringing my Fergie 35, which Peter has restored to its present condition and winning prizes in various events wherever I went."
