HOLSWORTHY Hamlets Flower Club members proved they could handle the heat in Holsworthy Memorial Hall on Saturday, October 12 when they served over 170 at their big breakfast event.
Having sold tickets before hand, members prepared two sittings at 9am and 11am for the expected large crowd, though some extras turned up on the day.
Nothing phased the team though, and their good organisation and determination raised over £500 for the North Devon Hospice.
Club chairman, Sandra Hamly, said: "It went really well. Members voted to support the outreach centre at our last meeting in June. Thanks to everyone for the hardwork, donations and support."
