THE chairman of Launceston in Bloom has received recognition by being named the best volunteer in the Golden Cormac award. Margaret Wills was presented with the award on behalf of Launceston in Bloom in recognition of the work she and her team undertake each year in enhancing the whole of the town, ranging from the planting of the Link Road, to floral planting of the whole of the square and surrounding areas. Local businesses, private homeowners, industrial premises and community gardens, are all encouraged to take part in Launceston in Bloom, which provides wonderful displays of colour to the whole town, promoting a feel-good factor and local tourism. For the full report, and a round-up of the area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.
