THE Lifton Cottage Garden Society and Women's Institute's 32nd Horticultural Show was held on Saturday, August 3.
This was the first time the show had been held on a Saturday and proved very successful, attracting almost 50 exhibitors, some new to the show, entering 250 exhibits.
This was an increase on last year, but the recent hot weather affected the number of entries in the vegetable and flower sections. Those that were there, judges commented, were of "the usual high standard".
