CARERS and those with memory loss are being invited to attend the meetings of the Bude Memory Cafe, the next to be held on Friday, November 19.

A committee member said: "Come along and socialise over a cup of tea and a chat. Come along and find out what we have on offer for you. Come along and share with us what you would like the programme to include."

Currently the Memory Cafe has 15 volunteers and a committee of 10, all of whom are also session volunteers.

Between them they have a wide range of background experience with some volunteers being from a professional caring background and some with personal experience of caring for a loved one at home.

The Memory Cafe has approached Budehaven School Art Department to design suggestions for its logo and hope to present these at one of the Friday meetings.

The Bude Memory Cafe meets on the first and third Friday of every month, from 2pm to 4pm at the Parkhouse Centre.

All carers and those with memory loss are invited to attend and if anyone knows of someone who would benefit from the sessions, they are asked to pass the details on.
