HOLSWORTHY Fire Brigade attended the Somerfield Car Park, Station Road, Holsworthy, at 3.22pm on Saturday following calls that a car was on fire.
On arrival, crews found that there was a fire in the engine compartment of a car, which was well alight.
There was 100 per cent damage to the engine compartment and 20 per cent damage by heat and smoke to the interior.
Crews, with Watch Commander Darren Allcorn in charge, used two breathing apparatus sets, one hose reel and small tools to extinguish the fire.
