A FISH and chip shop in Port Isaac has been left gutted, after a severe fire broke out on Sunday (August 25).
Two fire appliances from Delabole, one from Wadebridge and a third major appliance from Bodmin, were called to the two-storey building on Fore Street, just before 6pm.
Crews found the fryer to be well alight and eventually extinguished the fire by 7.25pm, using various equipment. Police were called to assist with crowd control.
