A FIRE took hold of the RSPB Farnham Heath reserve in Frensham on Tuesday destroying 20 acres of rare bird and reptile habitats.

The fire, on land between Old Frensham Road and Gong Hill Drive, resulted in the closure of roads and the evacuation of businesses.
