THE team at Delabole Community Fire Station has been undertaking some vital training during their drill evenings.
Crew members at Delabole Community Fire Station attend a drill evening every Tuesday from 7pm until 9pm, training in different things each week.
A spokesperson for the fire station said: “We are often doing very different things every week, from first aid to RTC (road traffic collision) training, to door entry procedures using breathing apparatus.”
During their drill night on Tuesday, August 29, the team undertook some vital first aid training.
The spokesperson continued: “Obviously, regarding this week’s drill, first aid is a vital part of our training, now that we carry a defibrillator and oxygen on the appliance.
“We could be first on scene to a RTC and to gain entry to a premises, so it’s important that we keep up to scratch with everything.”
