MEMBERS of Launceston Inner Wheel held a coffee morning at Launceston Central Methodist Church recently to raise funds for St Petrocs Society, the funds raised at the event were just over £250.
Thanks were expressed to everyone who came along and supported the event. The funds raised will make a difference to those at a time of great difficulty. The nearest St Petrocs Society shelter is at Bodmin and support is always welcome with a fundraising event or donation.
St Petrocs supports the homeless of Cornwall, with accommodation and guidance as well as much needed support when a client has been living on the streets. A very difficult situation to be in as well as frightening and the causes of homelessness are so varied, from family breakup to eviction or in some cases spiralling debt or depression, there are so many reasons and St Petrocs work very hard with the clients to support them out of this situation.
