WOBURN Residents’ Association, Launceston, has finally held its barbecue, after it was cancelled due to bad weather.
Originally planned to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday, the barbecue was cancelled due to inclement weather expected on the day. However, eventually the weather was good enough to hold the event, so everything swung into action on August 26 on Woburn Green.
A large quantity of burgers and hot dogs were consumed by the large number of attendees, which was followed by the singing of the National Anthem, led by Andrew Dunning, who was accompanied by the entertainer, Robin, on his accordion.
A toast was raised to the Queen by all present, and everyone agreed it was another lovely event for the residents, their families and friends to get together.
