LAUNCESTON-BASED Hairdotcom Art Team’s reputation as one of the country’s leading artistic teams has been confirmed after its announcement as a finalist at HJ’s British Hairdressing Awards 2018, sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional.

The team from Hairdotcom, which includes Craig Chapman, was shortlisted in the Artistic Team of the Year category. The team will now be required to submit a further four images to make a collection of eight for the second round of judging in September, before the awards ceremony in November.

Hairdotcom Art Team impressed the judges thanks to its artistic presentation and exceptional skill in cutting, colouring and styling.

Craig Chapman said: “I am so thrilled for the whole Hairdotcom Art Team that we’ve been recognised by the industry in this way! Something that has been a passion project of mine and the rest of the team for the last few years is now official! I’m very excited for the times we have ahead and am crossing everything for the final in November.”

Commenting on the announcement, Jayne Lewis-Orr, executive director of the British Hairdressing Awards said: “To be named as a finalist in the Artistic of the Year category highlights just how exceptional the Hairdotcom Art Team is. Already a name within the industry, with fantastic skill and vision, their reputation precedes them.

“We are always in awe of the brilliance these hairdressers demonstrate as they showcase their collections. Britain has long had a world-class reputation for exceptional hair design and Hairdotcom Art Team’s work epitomises this. We wish all the finalists the best of luck for the next stage and look forward to seeing them at the awards ceremony in November.”
