THE Launceston Carnival Committee have announced the final call for applications for the 2016 Carnival Royalty contest.

The 2016 choosing evening will take place on Friday, July 22, at the White Hart Hotel ballroom at 6pm for 6.30pm.

The contest will see the three lucky winners receive presentation Salvers, flowers and each will receive a generous clothing allowance for this year’s carnival parade on October 8.

Dave Gordon, carnival chairman, said: “We have always had a good response to our royalty choosing since the carnival returned in 2010, but this year entries are quite slow in coming in.

“Entry forms are available from the Tourist Information Centre in the White Hart Arcade, or online at www.launceston-carnival.co.uk.”

Applications are welcomed from girls and boys from anywhere in the Launceston PL15 area.
