THERE was some commotion in Delabole on Wednesday, April 10, when the stars of hit TV series Doc Martin left their home of ‘Port Wenn’, otherwise known as Port Isaac, to film in the village.

Martin Clunes, who plays Dr Martin Ellingham, Caroline Catz (Louisa Glasson) and John Marquez (PC Joe Penhale) were spotted filming in and around Delabole Methodist Chapel.

Eager onlookers came out to catch a glimpse of the stars who are filming for the upcoming Season 9 of the popular British series set to be released later this year.

Delabole Primary School has been used as a Doc Martin location in previous series.
