TWENTY members of the Holsworthy detachment of Devon Army Cadet Force have returned from the fifth annual exercise.
The young people all from the Holsworthy area competed in fun challenging activities run by their adult instructors.
The three teams undertook a bridge building command task, bushcraft skills test and paintball target range.
There was a three hour evening field craft exercise using state of the art infra red tagging systems supplied by Survival of Torrington, which saw the three teams battle it out over a 75 acre training ground trying to capture and secure each others flags.
Cadets slept in army basher shelters and lived off of rations. The weekend ended with a barbecue and presentation ceremony which saw one section as overall winners and cadet Mia Doherty voted best all round performer of the event by the adults.
Holsworthy ACF parades from 7pm to 9pm on Mondays at the community college and is open to young people from ages 12 to 18 years old.
