TENTS, stalls, coconut shy, a skittle alley and floral pavilion transformed Poundstock at the weekend for its annual revel. By 2pm on Saturday afternoon everything was in place for the flood of people, dogs, sheep, a pony and even a hen who visited. Refreshments were available, including food from Ruben of Nomada at The Beach at Bude, a skittle alley with a bottle of whisky as the prize and a tombola. There was something for everyone. Races for young and old (uphill this year) helped offset some of the excesses of the afternoon. People were very reluctant to leave so it was late before the faithful helpers could pack it all away again, but by 6pm the field was restored.
