IN bingo calling terminology " Unlucky for Some, 13" appeared to be correct early on June 14 for the annual Dilke Hospital fete, but with the support of the faithful stalwarts the day turned out to be most productive.
On behalf of the Friends of Dilke Hospital I wish to thank the owners of the rally cars, Cinderford Fire and Rescue, Berry Hill Band, Cinderford Art Space, St John's Church of England Academy, Five Acres Garage.
Also who donated to the stalls and prizes for the draw, Fairways Furnishing for sponsorship of the tickets, the organisations, Cinderford Scouts, Severn Dean Lions and Forest of Dean Rotary, local Women's Institutes, all the stallholders and of course all the members of the public who, despite the weather, enabled us to raise just over £5,000.
Apologies to any one inadvertently missed. See you all next year, remember the second Saturday in June.
– Rob Young, Chairman Dilke League of Friends.
