SUNDAY, December 4 saw the eagerly awaited arrival of Santa to the village of St Breward.

Despite such a busy schedule preparing his presents, Santa spent several hours touring the village in his sleigh to wish the children a happy Christmas and pass on his good cheer.

Helped by his Santa elves collecting on behalf of St Breward Carnival funds, he spent some time outside the village stores where the crowd joined in with singing carols led by the vicar Rev Canon Sherry Bryan before the Christmas lights were switched on by carnival fairy queen Gwen Evans.
