WITH Christmas fast approaching, students at Sir James Smith’s Community School in Camelford were given permission to wear festive jumpers during the last week of term, instead of their normal black jumpers with the school crest.

Ensuring they entered the spirit of the season, the students donned a range of jumpers sporting characters such as Rudolph, Father Christmas and the elves — or simply some cheery seasonal greetings.

During the week senior pupils were also selling raffle tickets, in aid of their Prom next July, while a number of students, who are studying their Personal and Social Education course, held a popular Bake Sale in aid of the school’s Support Centre.
