A CHRISTMAS craft fayre organised by the Friends of Delabole School has raised over £500.

There was plenty for visitors to see and do, with 36 stalls in total occupied by businesses and individuals from the area. The Mini-Minors Pre-School Playgroup also provided a toy tombola, while St Piran's Playgroup, Children's Hospice South West and the Merlin Project were provided with free stalls.

Children's entertainment was laid on all evening, with Cozy the Clown and the Delabole Storyteller at the forefront of the activities. Festive refreshments, including Christmas punch, were served by the Friends of Delabole School team, while a raffle saw many fabulous prizes handed out.

Event organiser Helen Ferguson said: "Many thanks to Delabole Methodist Chapel for the fantastic venue. All money raised is spent on fun for the children of Delabole School — discos, a Christmas party, play equipment."
