FRIDAY evening saw Launceston town centre abuzz with shoppers, shire horses and snowstorms as the town hosted its Christmas late night shopping event.
Many shops remained open offering festive bargains, and various organisations set up stalls offering mince pies, mulled wine and other Christmassy treats.
The town square was a hive of activity, with live reports being broadcast from Pirate FM alongside an array of children's rides, a vintage fairground organ and a large fake snow machine, blasting a small blizzard out over the town.
While parents held the shopping bags, children had the chance to meet shire horses from North Devon Donkey Farm, and the stars of the show; two donkeys called Taylor and Muriel who travelled up from Country Side Donkeys, near Looe.
