NORTH Cornwall's festival enthusiasts welcomed the return of one of the area's premier event on the evening of Friday, July 27, as the gates to Leopallooza were once again opened at the Wyldes, Week St Mary.
Since?its inception seven years ago, Leopallooza has grown into not only a festival the region can be proud of, but Cornwall and the South West as a whole.
Dubbed 'the greatest house party... in a field' by its founders, Leopallooza has snowballed from relatively modest beginnings into a 4,000 capacity festival, and is recognised by music enthusiasts as one of the country's best events of its kind — having recently been named as one of the 'best boutique festivals' of the summer by The Guardian, as well as being shortlisted as the 'best small festival' and 'best grassroots festival' at the 2010 festival awards.
