THE second ‘Feel Good Festival’ was held in Launceston on Saturday, November 23.

Organisers Helen Leeson and Clare Hinks, who run the food venue Green House, have said they were ‘over the moon’ with the success of the second event of its kind, held at Launceston Town Hall.

Over 40 independent businesses had stalls offering therapies, readings, complementary and alternative medicines, handmade arts and crafts, pottery, real ale, Cornish gin and some very tasty Cornish food stalls too.

Local facilitators generously ran free taster workshops on the stage with Tai Chi, dance, pilates and gong sound therapy. Launceston Pop Choir kindly appeared at lunchtime to fill the festival with a lovely Christmas performance led by Sarah Bradley.

The nominated charity for the raffle was Pete’s Dragons, and Helen and Clare are delighted to have raised £255, which will be used to support people affected by suicide.

The pair said: “We must thank our stall holders who generously donated many of the raffle prizes on offer and hope that the first prize winner will enjoy their prize of a spa experience for two at Banbury’s.

“We would also like to thank all of our staff, volunteers, workshop facilitators, stall holders plus the lovely folk who came along and helped make the day a success.”

The next event will take place in March at Launceston Town Hall and will be a food and drink festival. Local traders interested in taking part in the festival can contact Helen and Clare via their ‘Feelgoodfestival’ Facebook page.
