A CHRISTMAS fayre has raised more than £1,400 towards Launceston Memory Café.
The event, held on Sunday, November 16, was a 'big success' according to organisers Cym Downing and Jean Clements from Launceston Memory Café.
Scores of people entered the town hall throughout the day where they could purchase their Christmas wares. From jewellery, bric-a-brac, arts and crafts, pet supplies and photography — there was a range of stalls offering various goods.
Cym and Jean's husbands, Ken and Derek helped throughout the day in the kitchen providing refreshments.
The event raised £1,467 for the Memory Café and organisers received a surprise donation of £323 from Emma Moore of Emmagination.
Cym said: "It was absolutely fabulous. It was a really big success."
The luxury raffle prize hamper was won by Anne Mitchell.
