A BRIDE'S father has managed to attend her wedding at Trethorne Golf Club, Launceston, from the comfort of his home in Spain, thanks to technological advances. Bill's health problems meant he was unable to travel in person from his home in Spain to attend the marriage of his daughter, Hazel Baines and fiancé Warren Vincent recently. When the dilemma was posed to organisers at Trethorne, marketing director Carole Reip, who is responsible for the arranging of weddings at the venue, sought help and advice from Paul Hocking — a full-time chef and part-time technological wizard. He managed to set up a live video feed onto a projector in the club's new conference suite, enabling Bill to not only witness the entire ceremony, but allow interaction between him and guests.
