A redevelopment site with planning consent for new homes near Launceston has sold through Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers.
Trewint Farm was listed among the lots in the final auction of 2019 by the regional land and property auctioneers Clive Emson with a freehold guide price of £200,000 to £250,000. (December 12)
But a buyer – a local developer – was keen to acquire the property before the auction and lodged a bid around the top end of the guide range which was accepted.
The plot includes a character cottage and open market residential planning for a three bedroomed barn conversion and a pair of detached three bedroomed new-build homes.
Senior auction appraiser Dave Henwood said: “This site attracted considerable interest prior to auction. One party was keen to acquire the property before it went to auction and made an offer around the top end of the guide range which was accepted.
“The new owner now has a site with a number of development options available to them, subject to the necessary consents.”
Clive Emson Auctioneers holds eight rounds of auctions at five locations from Essex to Cornwall on consecutive days every six weeks, this time with a total of 109 lots.
Starting at 11am, the first of Clive Emson Auctioneers’ regional West Country auctions in 2020 takes place at the St Mellion International Resort, on Thursday February 13. Entries close on Monday January 13.
