Members of churches in the Camelford and Tintagel Methodist Circuit gathered at Camelford Methodist Church recently to share in a Farewell Service for Rev Stella Long. Members of other churches in the area and representatives of the Camelford Branch of the Royal British Legion shared in the service. Rev Long has served as a Minister in the Camelford section of the Circuit for the last five years and is moving on to Romsey in Hampshire to become the Superintendent Minister. Rev Long preached at the Service which was led by Rev Bryan Ede (Superintendent Minister) with prayers being led by Rev Michael Parsons (Boscastle) and Rev Jim Benton-Evans (Camelford). The lesson was read by Mrs Joan Keating (Camelford Celebration Church). The service was preceded by a tea served by members of the Camelford and Tintagel Circuit Churches. At the conclusion of the service Rev Long was presented with gifts from the churches in the circuit, and the Camelford Royal British Legion for her work as their chaplain.
