CAMELFORD’S Fun Week (May 27 to June 3) was a resounding success, despite the inclement weather.
The event, organised by Camelford Town Council, was well supported and provided something for all ages.
For the younger members of the community, there was a teddy bears picnic at Camelford Hall and circus skills in Enfield Park.
In addition, there were art workshops, bird and bat walks, tug of war and an afternoon tea, hosted by the mayor, Cllr Rob Rotchell.
The opening event, a spring fayre and dog show had to be moved from the park to Camelford Hall due to the weather, but there was still a great turn-out and much fun had by all.
A prize bingo in aid of Camelford Brownies kept many entertained one evening, and a tug of war competition was held.
In the Old Bank, Harry Pearce from Hookline Theatre led a number of drama workshops.
The It’s a Knock Out was postponed by the primary school, but they hope to hold the event at the school summer fete on Saturday, July 8.
There were 25 knitters at one point at the knit-a-thon, at which 54 hats were finished for the premature baby unit at Treliske Hospital as well as lots of squares for blankets.
The event also raised £100 for the Invictus Trust in memory of Tom Davey from Delabole.
The fun week ended with a bang, as the sun came out for the Music in the Park event on Saturday.
