A FAMILY from Sheepwash are attempting to raise £65,000 for their son to undergo a lifechanging operation which will allow him to walk.
Two-year-old Jenson Tucker was diagnosed with spastic diplegia (cerebral palsy) when he was sixth months old.
He later developed infantile spasms, and had to spend two weeks at Bristol Children's Hospital. This later developed into epilepsy just after he turned one-years-old.
Parents Carly and Joel recently found out about the Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) operation which could help Jenson walk. SDR involves sectioning (or cutting) some of the sensory nerve fibres that come from the muscles and enter the spinal cord.
