THE town square in Launceston was filled with families having fun in the sunshine on Saturday, August 19, at this year’s Chamber of Commerce family fun day.
Launceston’s Chamber of Commerce is well known for its Christmas events and fashion show, but this year will see some additional events coming to the town throughout the other seasons.
The fun day offered food, drink, rides and games, crafts and activities, face paint, hair styling and more.
Tables were laid out in the square for families to sit out and enjoy their food in the sunshine and a town trail with a pirate theme was created for families to follow and win prizes.
Speaking at the event, Irena Jordi-Slater, chamber chair, said: “It has been a brilliant day so far, lots of families enjoying the town tails and fun in the square. Our new chamber events committee have worked hard to bring a new event to the town for families to enjoy, we look forward to working on our next event very soon.”
