TO SERVE the rural community of Trevone, the Post Office is introducing a Post Office mobile service which will also affect the villages of Rock and St Kew Highway.

Last April the postmaster for St Breward, Darren Wills, started the mobile service for seven Cornish communities and an additional stop is to be added.

The new location this service will be offered from is Trevone Farm Shop, Trevone, Padstow, PL28 8QJ. This new service will commence today (Thursday, February 14) and it will visit every Thursday from 10.15-11.15am.

The travelling Post Office, which is aboard a specifically designed vehicle, delivers vital Post Office services to people in St Merryn, St Issey, St Kew Highway, Tintagel, South Petherwin, Port Isaac and Rock.

To accommodate the new mobile service there will be some changes to the current mobile services at Rock and St Kew Highway which took effect from Monday, February 11.

At Rock, which is situated on Trelyn Road, the new opening times are 11am-12.30pm on Mondays and from midday to 1pm on Thursdays.

At St Kew Highway, the facility is now open from 1.30pm-3pm on Mondays and for an hour from 2pm on Thursdays.

A wide-range of services are available while there is also a step into the mobile vehicle. An electronic tailgate is available to facilitate easy access for wheelchair users and those with disabilities.

Parking is available close to the van.
