THE ‘Big Restoration’ at Lanteglos Church has revealed exciting things, which will be displayed as part of a free exhibition on Saturday, April 20, from 9.30am onwards at the Old Bank, Camelford.

See the early Norman carved capital, the medieval painted plaster, the part of a wooden medieval screen with original paint, the Delabole tally slate, the stained glass as never seen before and much more — including a 500-year-old ridge tile with an irregular top said to make it difficult for witches to land!

See what has been happening behind the large scaffold screen and find out about the possible early separate building that may have been thatched at one stage and another separated building that may have been the church ale house for the original builders in the 12th century. Not many people know this.

A crowdfunder page has been set up to help pay for the last bit of the restoration, to donate visit www.crowdfunder.co.uk/lanteglos-church-restoration

Any small donation would be most welcome.
