THE Moorland Art Group held its 37th Annual Art and Craft Exhibition in St Nonna’s Church Hall Altarnun from July 21 to July 29.
The going was slower than previous years, however, many of the regular supporters came to view the exhibition and purchase a number of paintings and craft items.
The first day went very well with food and drinks being provided by the members with all donations and the sale of raffle tickets in aid of Cornwall Hospice Care.
The hall looked delightful with all the flowers around the stands and a big thank you to Elizabeth Prince for the wonderful display.
A new raffle was held daily with an original painting donated by the members being the prize. The winners were Mr Woods of Altarnun, Linda and Mike from Pensilva, Diane Earle of Altarnun, Sandy from Newquay, Liz from Rezare, Lyn Jones of Altarnun, Jenny Holt of Altarnun, Dolly Edwards of Altarnun and finally Jean Hyde of Tredaule.
The week progressed with varying highs and lows of visitors, locals and others from different parts of the country and overseas, they seemed to be impressed with the exhibition.
The group would like to thank everyone that visited the exhibition and supported the group and Cornwall Hospice Care, they raised £185 and it is already in the post to them.
