OVER 200 young people were involved in a mass celebration of youth sport at the North Cornwall Games competition held at Budehaven Community College on Monday, April 30.

All secondary schools in North Cornwall were involved in the competition. The day started with Martin Rey opening the event dressed as a Bengal Tiger carrying an Olympic Torch!

This was followed with the schools' dance groups performing a dance from each of the five continents of the world. As this is an Olympic year, organisers of the games were keen to embrace the ethos of the competition and ensure there was cultural element to the activities.
