THE Old Bank Project made an appearance at this year’s Camelford Agricultural Show, encouraging locals to get involved with the ever developing project.
Members of the project were on hand to explain in detail what the project entails, accompanied by pictures of the progress of transforming the old NatWest bank in the town into a new community space, central to the town.
Also with the project was a member of the CRCC, who are currently helping the members of the project with their business plan, which may allow them to apply for more funding.
Cllr Claire Hewlett, a member of the Old Bank Project, said: “We’re having lots of fun. It’s mostly young people that are getting involved at the moment, but we have people sticking their head around the door sometimes. We’re just trying to communicate to people.”
Her husband, Jon, added: “We’re just trying to do something positive for the town and the community. We want people to come in, have a look and have a chat.
“We’re wide open to suggestions for activities and new ideas, so if you think of anything, please get in touch.”
The Old Bank Project is currently searching for individuals, groups and organisations to get in touch to bring vibrant new activities and ideas to Camelford.
