MOLE Valley Farmers is helping customers prepare for the imminent shooting season by attending the Cornwall and Devon Countryman’s Fair on Sunday, August 7, held on the Werrington Park Estate near Launceston.

This event attracts over 8,500 people who come along to enjoy the variety of country activities, as well as being able to socialise with friends, family and like-minded folk.

Nigel Bond, a renowned ex England clay shooter, will be running the demonstration and coaching arena at the event. As well as this, there will be a marquee promoting Mole Valley Farmers’ working dog foods, guns, sooting accessories and clothing.

Nigel’s wife Dawn, who works at the group’s Holsworthy store, is also an expert handler and trainer of gun dogs. Together, the couple run Tamar Shooting Ground at Bradworthy, near Holsworthy.

Nigel said: “Want to find out more about clay pigeon, clay target, rough or game shooting or how to train your gun dog? Then do come along and chat to Dawn and I at the Countryman’s Fair. It’s always a great event and if you are looking to get started or hoping to improve existing skills, we will be delighted to help.”
