A PYWORTHY lady is to take part in a fire and ice walk, to raise money for a sanctuary that takes care of her animals.

Last September the Quality of Life Animal Sanctuary (QOLAS), based in Pyworthy, closed its doors for the last time due to financial pressure. As a result, the sanctuary, its owners and the animals were evicted from the farm.

Thankfully, the animals were re-homed to Hillside Animal Sanctuary in Norwich and Debbie De Ste Croix, owner of the animals, has been catching up with them recently.

She said: "I visited Hillside a few weeks ago on one of my regular visits, my husband and I were given a VIP visit to see and have cuddles with the horses, goats, cows and our two sheep and I can report that all are well happy and healthy."
