CAMELFORD Town Council is to host an event next week called ‘North Cornwall Employment and Enterprise Forum.’
This inaugural event gives the opportunity for business people and local government members to hear first-hand about professional and proven strategies to revitalise the business community and to boost employment.
There will be speakers from Inclusion Cornwall and Cornwall Development Company.
Bev Wilson from Inclusion Cornwall will focus on employment. The group has instigated the Cornwall Works initiatives, returning people back to employment across the county with particular successes in Helston and Lizard, Bude and the Isles of Scilly.
Jon Teague from the Cornwall Development Company will focus on enterprise. Jon is project leader for the Local Action Group, which has nine clear priorities including ‘town centre and village revitalisation.’
This will give an insight into potential developments in Camelford and surrounding villages.
Every parish councillor, Cornwall Councillor, chamber of commerce or interested employer, and local government officers with an interest in the Camelford Community Network Area are invited.
The event will take place on Wednesday, January 20 at Camelford Hall. For more information, contact town council clerk Lee Dunkley on 01840 212880.
