BUDE’S first event of this kind will certainly not be the last following high praise from visitors and professionals alike.
Atlantic Coast Therapists (ACT) are a highly qualified group of people committed to spreading the word and practices of complimentary therapies in and around Bude.
Cllr Rob Rotchell, cabinet member for adult and social care, praised the organisers and said he, himself had benefitted from these therapies. He further supported the place they have alongside the NHS to benefit pool locally.
One visitor said: “Thank you for a wonderful day. It was great to see all generations catered for as well as those with disabilities.”
The day saw a full and active programme with taster sessions in keep fit from Dave Herman from Fusion Fitness, Bowen Technique from Concious Touch, cyclossage from Breakthrough Therapies , stress tests from Solution Focussed Therapies and guest sessions from Vika Bundy Yoga and exercise for mobility.
Homeopathy, Forever Living and Medical Herbalism and much more were all well received by visitors to the event.
The event raised £828 for Friends of Bude Sea Pool (FOBSP) and Paul Tilzey (chair) came along to receive the cheque. Christine and Rupert Brendon, who donated the rooms for the event, attended the presentation.
ACT would like to thank all the local businesses who supported this day with prizes and a huge thank you to The Falcon, without whom the event would not have been the success it was.
This will be an annual event and ACT hope that they can support putting Bude on the map and known as a health and wellness hub.
The next event will be a pop up information and advice session at Rosie’s in Bude on May 22 between 11am and 1am.
