Werrington Cricket Club recently held a harvest supper and auction at the clubhouse.

After a wonderful supper prepared by the ladies of the club a harvest auction was held selling everything from chutney to Christmas pudding and fine wine.

Each year the club likes to make a donation to a local charity. A profit of £850 was raised, with the Launceston Adult Day Centre being the choice this year, who do wonderful work with a large number of local people.

On Wednesday, November 28, president Paul Hicks presented a cheque to the staff of the centre, with treasurer Pat Penno accepting the donation on behalf of the centre.
