ONE of Holsworthy's regularly used buildings will receive a grant for £22,000 from Torridge District Council.

The Market Hall, used for various town council and business meetings, will undergo repairs inside and outside of the building.

Cllr Richard Brown, councillor for Holsworthy Town and Torridge District Council told the 'Post': "Torridge have found some money to make the well overdue essential repairs to the building. I believe they are going to make repairs to the front and the leaking windows are going to be looked at.

"I have been told the repairs are going to be made soon, however everything has been delayed at the moment due to the snow."

Cllr Brown continued: "I still feel that the public toilets are a priority case as they are a public convenience, however, one step at a time. I have no details at the time with regards to what will happen to the meetings whilst work is being done, however, we should know nearer the time."
